This approach proved valuable in developing a shading similar to the charcoal shading used in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vinewyck.com\/?page_id=214\"><em>The Trip<\/em><\/a>. The flow improver, while providing a similar functionality to the glazing liquids, resulted in a good deal of runoff if the mixture is too lean.<\/small><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><small>The approach again was to try to stay close to the original, while increasing the effect of the wind, which can be seen in the background.<\/small><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This painting is an interpretation of the original oil on canvas painted by Edgar Degas that is on display at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
